What you can expect

Embark on a 9-day round trip from Entebbe to explore the best of Uganda's national parks. Go on a boat safari, track chimpanzees, and spot gorillas in the wild. Visit local markets, go on a boat trip to various islands, and swim in Lake Bunyonyi.

Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe
Arrive at Entebbe International Airport, where you'll be met and transferred to your lodge. Relax and settle in.

Day 2: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Drive to Queen Elizabeth NP, enjoying scenic views along the way, including tea plantations and rolling hills. Stop for photo opportunities and lunch on route. Arrive in the park in time for a sundowner by the campfire.

Day 3: Chimpanzee Tracking & Kazinga Channel Boat Safari
Begin your day with chimpanzee tracking in Kyambura Gorge or Kalinzu Forest (included in the package). In the afternoon, embark on the unforgettable Kazinga Channel boat cruise, spotting wildlife such as hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, and birds along the water.

Day 4: Queen Elizabeth NP & Transfer to Bwindi
Go on a morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth NP until 11 am. Afterward, enjoy lunch and proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, home to the mountain gorillas.

Day 5: Gorilla Tracking or Nature Walk in Bwindi
Today, choose an optional gorilla trek (extra cost for permits) to experience a magical encounter with the last remaining mountain gorillas. Alternatively, enjoy a nature walk or guided community walk (additional cost). After your tracking or walk, transfer to Lake Bunyonyi, a stunning freshwater lake surrounded by lush hills. Relax at a lakeside lodge with opportunities for swimming.

Day 6: Lake Bunyonyi Boat Trip & Market Visit
Enjoy a boat trip on Lake Bunyonyi, visiting islands and local markets (market only available on Mondays and Fridays). For those interested in more activities, options include hikes on the islands, canopy walk, zip-lining, or stand-up paddling. If you prefer more wildlife, you can swap one night at Lake Bunyonyi for an additional day at Lake Mburo NP (extra cost of $150 per person).

Day 7: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park
Drive to Lake Mburo NP, a beautiful park known for its zebras, giraffes, buffaloes, antelopes, and the famous Ankole cattle with long horns. Lake Mburo is also a top birding destination.

Day 8: Game Drive & Transfer to Entebbe
Enjoy an early morning game drive in Lake Mburo NP before transferring back to Entebbe, with a stop at the Equator Memorial for photos. If your return flight is in the evening, you'll be dropped off at the airport.

Day 9: Optional Shoebill Boat Trip or Back Home
In the morning or afternoon, embark on an optional Shoebill boat trip to Mabamba Swamps (extra cost for 2-3 participants, included for 4 or more). This is a bird-watching paradise, where you may spot the elusive Shoebill. Afterward, enjoy free time in Entebbe before your evening flight home.

Transfer to the airport for your return flight back home, marking the end of your 9-day Uganda roundtrip.
