Day 1: Kibale Forest National Park
Start your adventure with a drive to Kibale Forest National Park, known as the “primate capital of the world.” Stop for lunch in Fort Portal before checking into your lodge for the evening.
Day 2: Chimpanzee Trekking and Bigodi Sanctuary
Begin with breakfast, then head to Kanyanchu for a briefing on chimpanzee trekking. Join a small group and a park guide for a 2-4 hour trek, including a magical hour with the chimpanzees. After lunch, explore Bigodi Sanctuary, home to diverse birds and primates.
Day 3: Queen Elizabeth National Park
Travel to Queen Elizabeth National Park via Fort Portal. Enjoy a game drive to see elephants, lions, buffaloes, and more. Continue to Buhoma in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, stopping in Ishasha for a chance to see tree-climbing lions.
Day 4: Gorilla Trekking and Batwa Community
Start with breakfast and a briefing on gorilla trekking. Spend 2-6 hours searching for gorillas, then enjoy a magical hour observing them. In the afternoon, visit the Batwa community for an authentic cultural experience.
Day 5: Lake Mburo National Park
Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park, the only park offering horseback rides. Enjoy a cultural lunch en route, followed by an afternoon boat cruise. After tea or coffee, choose between a horseback ride or a game drive.
Day 6: Departure
Leave Lake Mburo National Park via Masaka, stopping at the Equator for photos. Enjoy lunch in Masaka before returning to Kampala or Entebbe.
