What you can expect

Begin your journey at Kemenuh, located south of the center of Ubud. Walk along the lush riverbank with exotic rock cliffs. See a herd of long-tailed monkeys playing freely in their natural habitat along the river. Enjoy the green atmosphere and get the impression of an authentic forest adventure.

Continue north to Tampaksiring for approximately 40-50 minutes. Pass the typical Balinese countryside streets with rows of wood carving workshops, traditional markets, and occasionally rice fields. The road will start to go uphill because this location is at a higher altitude.

Upon arrival at Tirta Empul, be greeted by a magnificent stone gate (Candi Bentar). The main focus is a holy bath with a clear shower that continues to flow from a natural spring. The air here feels cooler and the aroma is fragrant by the incense.

From Tirta Empul, the journey only takes a short time, about 10-15 minutes to Kedisan village. The road to this waterfall passes through the residents' plantation area and a shady small road.

To reach the waterfall, go down the neatly arranged stairs. This trip is very refreshing because the location is at the bottom of a small lush valley. Ulu Petanu Waterfall offers a very private and quiet atmosphere. The water is very clear and fresh because it comes from mountain springs. There is a wooden bridge that becomes an iconic photo spot with a waterfall in the background and a mossy green cliff wall.
