The tour starts from the city of Salta, crossing the spectacular Quebrada del Toro on a path of constant ascent to the Puna. Along the way you visit Andean towns such as San Antonio de los Cobres, where you stop to get to know the local culture and adapt to the height. The experience continues aboard the train, trekking through towering landscapes until you reach the iconic Viaduct La Polvorilla, at more than 4,200 meters above sea level, one of the most impressive works of railway engineering in the world.
