The Royal Palace of Turin is the most important Savoy residence in all of Piedmont, monumental seat of the Savoy dynasty and UNESCO World Heritage Site. Access the second floor through one of the greatest masterpieces of the architect Filippo Juvarra, the Scala delle Forbici: an imposing marble staircase that appears light and sinuous. The series of rooms is interrupted by the Gallery of Daniel, one of the best preserved Baroque rooms in the palace, then you get to the Queen’s apartments, the dining room and the Alcove Room where once there was the wedding bed. You will come to the last two rooms that have a more solemn atmosphere: the Queen’s Throne Room and the Ballroom. The visit will end in the Royal Armoury, one of the richest in the world, armour of several centuries: relics of the Napoleonic age such as the sword belonged to Bonaparte.
