We will start from one of the few natural accesses to the plateau (Scalas), and then venture, through the paths opened by the local fauna, into the wild kingdom of the Cavallino della Giara.
We will encounter several seasonal marshes, including the largest on the entire plateau. During our journey, we will also come across the evocative “Pinnetos”, traditional shelters used by local shepherds until a few decades ago to tend to their flocks. The loop tour will be about 7 km (4.34 miles) long. The hike will end on a plateau from which we can admire the hilly landscapes of Marmilla.
