The Open-Water Freediving Introduction is a comprehensive introduction to freediving, perfect for beginners who want to experience something different in Barcelona and learn the basics of this exciting sport.

Your experience begins at our Vertical Freediving center, where our team of instructors will welcome you. We will begin with an introductory theoretical session, during which you will learn:

Basic breathing and relaxation techniques.

The main disciplines of freediving.

How to manage your mind and body underwater.

Safety rules and procedures.

All the technical equipment is included and is specifically designed for freediving: wetsuit, fins, mask, belt, and buoy. We do not use snorkeling or scuba diving equipment, as we are a center dedicated exclusively to freediving. This allows us to offer you an authentic, safe, and carefully tailored experience.

After the theory session, you will be kitted out at the center, and we will set sail from the same port. The boat is moored right in front of our facilities, which makes the logistics quick and convenient. Within a few minutes, we will be out at sea, where the water is clearer and visibility is usually excellent, especially in the morning, when the sea is calm and the surroundings are conducive to tranquility.

During the activity, you will be accompanied by instructors who are passionate about freediving and who are also active competitors. They will guide you attentively and closely so that you can enjoy your first dives safely and mindfully. You will learn to float, descend in a controlled manner, and experience the serenity of underwater silence.

You do not need previous experience – just the ability to swim and a curiosity to explore your capabilities. Each step is guided and tailored to your skill level so that you feel comfortable and safe at all times.

At sea, you will practice your first vertical descents, learning how the body naturally adapts to pressure and how the mind finds calm in the silence. You will discover that freediving is not about holding your breath, but about letting go: about trusting, breathing, and flowing.

Upon returning to the center, you will be able to shower, relax, and share your impressions with the group. We offer free parking and easy access by public transport.

Those who complete the introductory session and wish to continue learning will be able to enroll in the center's official freediving courses at a special discount, where they will delve into advanced techniques, equalization, and mental training.
