Morning: Rural Village Experience & Cooking Demonstration

Your day begins with hotel pickup from Trincomalee, Nilaveli, Kuchchaveli or Uppuveli in a comfortable air-conditioned vehicle. Travel inland through scenic countryside, paddy fields, reservoirs, and traditional rural landscapes.

Arrive at a peaceful rural village where life continues much as it has for generations. This is a genuine village experience. not a staged tourist attraction.

Enjoy a traditional bullock cart ride along quiet village paths, followed by a canoe ride across a calm village reservoir. Continue deeper into the village by tuk-tuk or hand tractor, just as locals do.

Visit a local home to meet the villagers and take part in a traditional village cooking demonstration, learning how meals are prepared on a clay stove using local ingredients and everyday Sri Lankan techniques.

Lunch: Traditional Village Meal

Enjoy a freshly prepared home-cooked Sri Lankan lunch, made during the cooking demonstration and served with a refreshing local herbal drink, offering a true taste of village hospitality.

Afternoon: Private Wild Elephant Safari

In the afternoon, continue to Minneriya National Park, one of Sri Lanka’s best places to see wild elephants. Depending on the season and elephant movement, Kaudulla National Park or Hurulu Eco Park may be visited instead to ensure the best wildlife sightings.

Embark on a 3-hour safari in a private 4×4 jeep with an experienced wildlife driver. Watch wild elephants roaming freely, often in large herds, and look out for peacocks, spotted deer, langur monkeys, crocodiles, and a wide variety of bird species.
