The 3 day / 2 night climb to Rinjani Summit Lake is the most popular Rinjani Trekking package option. The trek passes through undulating open grasslands up to the campsite at Sembalun Crater Rim. Here you can see amazing views of the sunset overlooking the crater lake, the summit of Mount Rinjani and northern Lombok.
DAY 1: PICK-UP FROM YOUR HOTEL IN SENARU OR SEMBALUN
07:00 AM – After breakfast at your hotel,our team will pick you up and take you to our office.We will provide a brief explanation of the trekking itinerary and prepare everything you need for the trip.
We will then depart from Senaru and travel by 4WD vehicle to Sembalun Village. Upon arrival,we will register at the Rinjani Trek Centre in Sembalun (1,156 m) before starting our trek.
The trail initially takes us through beautiful,undulating grasslands as we gradually ascend the mountain.We will stop at Pos 1 and Pos 2 for short rest breaks and refreshments.
At Pos 3(1,800 m),we will take a longer break to enjoy lunch and prepare for the next section of the trek.After lunch,we continue with a steep ascent toward the Sembalun Crater Rim.
We will spend the night camping at Sembalun Crater Rim(2,639 m),where you can enjoy breathtaking views of the sunset,Segara Anak Lake,the summit of Mount Rinjani,and the beautiful northern Lombok landscape.
DAY 2: HIKE TO THE SUMMIT AND DESCEND TO SENARU CRATER RIM
We wake up at 2:00 AM and have a light breakfast before beginning the challenging three-hour trek to the summit of Mount Rinjani (3,726 m)
We aim to reach the summit in time for sunrise, when the spectacular panoramic views are at their best.After enjoying the sunrise and taking some time at the summit,we descend back to our campsite at the crater rim
Upon arrival,we will have a hot breakfast and take a short rest before continuing our descent into the crater.
We continue down to Segara Anak Lake(2,000 m),where we stop for lunch.You will have the opportunity to relax and enjoy the natural hot springs near the lake.
After lunch,we continue trekking along the lakeshore before beginning the steep ascent out of the crater toward the Senaru Crater Rim(2,641 m).The trail is steep and rocky in sections and passes through beautiful,dense forest.
Upon reaching the Senaru Crater Rim,we will have dinner and set up camp for the night.From the crater rim,you can enjoy spectacular views across Segara Anak Lake toward the summit of Mount Rinjani,as well as views of Gunung Baru,the small volcanic cone inside the crater.
DAY 3: DESCEND TO SENARU VILLAGE
After breakfast,we begin our descent from the Senaru Crater Rim (2,641 m) toward Senaru Village.
Along the way,we will pass through Pos 3,Pos 2,and Pos 1,where we can take short rest breaks. We will also stop for a longer break and enjoy lunch along the trail.
As we continue descending, the forest becomes increasingly lush,dense,and tropical, offering a beautiful and peaceful trekking experience.
We arrive in Senaru Village (601 m) at approximately 1:00 PM
