What you can expect

Join a unique cultural experience in Tràz di Munti, a small rural area behind Monte Graciosa, the famous mountain in Tarrafal. At the Centro de Artes e Ofícios - Tràz di Munti, join an artisanal pottery workshop, try homemade Cachupa and hibiscus juice, and take an optional 2.5-hour walk through the beautiful valley of Tarrafal to the beach Mar di Riba.

Begin with a pottery workshop, where you’ll learn about the strong pottery culture in Santiago and make your own handmade souvenir. Then, enjoy a traditional lunch of Cachupa, one of Cabo Verde’s most traditional dishes, paired with refreshing hibiscus juice.

After lunch, choose to embark on a guided hike through the beautiful valley of Tarrafal to the beach Mar di Riba. This 2.5-hour hike is of medium difficulty, with some uneven and steep terrain, and is recommended for accustomed hikers.
