Step into a local Quito home for a private hands-on cooking class and discover the traditional flavors of Ecuador. Learn to prepare authentic Ecuadorian dishes using local ingredients while hearing stories about the country’s food traditions and culture, then sit down with your host to enjoy the homemade meal you prepared together. Join your host Maria and her family in a quiet suburb of Quito to enjoy a cooking class and an authentic Ecuadorian meal. Learn to cook traditional Ecuadorian dishes using Maria's family recipes, in your 1-hour hands-on cooking class. You will learn to make two dishes from scratch - an appetizer and a main dish. Maria also shares tips and tricks while you’re cooking, along with sharing anecdotes of Ecuador's history and culture. After cooking, join Maria and her family (when they're home) to share the meal you helped prepare. Llapingacho (potato pancakes), ceviche and empanadas are a few dishes you can expect to try at Maria’s table. End your meal with quimbolitos, steamed corn cakes with a hint of sweetness.
