This tour was a highlight of our visit to Ortigia. If we hadn’t done this tour we would have missed out on something special. Skipper Franco was great company and a perfect guide. We were two parents and a 9-year-old and we all loved the tour. If you’re not sure whether to take this tour, just do it. When your skipper offers you the chance to jump in the beautiful water, make sure you do that too. I wasn’t sure, as it was an overcast day and not very hot, but in the end I did go in and it was so worth it! The water is sublime and my partner claimed that I looked younger afterward - not something I hear every day! 100% recommended.

We both poked this trip on a whim. Only slightly bitter that we could have paid 12€ less per person if we booked it from the same vendor at the port. After a weather scare that would have moved the start time out of our availability, it was determined high winds would be later in the day and we set sail. I don’t know that we got our skipper’s name, but he was great. We were the only English-speakers on the boat, but it seemed that he put just as much effort into his descriptions of historical landmarks as he did in Italian. We never felt ignored and his delivery never felt rushed. There was time for a 10-15 swim off the boat in the Ionian Sea, and my wife and daughter saw lot of tropical fish. This tour is short, cheap and a much better value than what you pay. Definitely recommend for seeing a different side of Ortigia!
