About the Event
An evocative and unsettling guided visit to Pavia in the early 19th century, when the city was shrouded in thick fog, dark streets, and an atmosphere suspended between superstition, fear, and harsh everyday life.

In this gloomy setting, the lives of university professors, police officers, priests, commoners, and criminals intertwine, while on full moon nights a mysterious story takes shape: that of the so-called Cagna del Ponte, a dark and surprising tale linked to the presence of an alleged werewolf that supposedly terrorized the city.

Following in the footsteps of the protagonists, we will retrace the streets, places and corners of Pavia where reality and popular imagination seem to merge. The tour will tell a story that straddles the line between news, legend, and superstition, revealing the darker side of a university city that is only seemingly peaceful.
