This tour blends medieval history, archaeology, modern Cyprus, and its traditions.
Our journey begins at the stunning Birthplace of Aphrodite, where, according to legend, the goddess emerged from the sea foam. It is said that bathing here prolongs youth and beauty.

According to Greek mythology, it was here that the goddess of love and beauty Aphrodite emerged from the sea foam. Homer called Aphrodite Cypris, the goddess of Cyprus, which is why Cyprus is called the island of love. The modern name of this place is Petra tou Romiou - "Roman's rock" is associated with another legend: the legendary Byzantine warrior Digenis Akritas, the hero of the Byzantine epic, repelling the Saracen raid on the island, threw pieces of rock from the Troodos Mountains at them. A huge boulder just beyond the rock of Aphrodite is called the "Saracen Rock".
