Step into EMO Tuft, one of Toronto’s leading creative studios, and enjoy a hands-on tufting workshop where you will design and create your own custom rug from start to finish. This experience is guided by friendly and experienced instructors, so no prior skills are required. To ensure the best experience, please email your design to emotuft@gmail.com at least 1 day before your session.

After arriving, you will choose your design and colors, then learn how to safely use a professional tufting gun. You will stretch your tufting cloth onto a frame, load your chosen yarn, and begin tufting your design with step-by-step guidance. Our team will be with you throughout the process to help with technique, shaping, and color placement.

Once your rug is tufted, we will assist with trimming and finishing so your piece looks clean and polished. Your completed rug will be ready to take home the same day, making it a meaningful souvenir from your time in Toronto. As the final trimming and finishing process takes about 45–60 minutes, any pieces not completed before 8:30 PM will be ready for pickup after 1:00 PM the next day.

This creative experience is perfect for couples, friends, families, and travelers who want to do something different and memorable. Whether you are celebrating a special occasion or simply exploring the city, this workshop offers a fun, relaxing, and rewarding way to spend your time while creating something truly personal.

All tools, materials, and guidance are included, so you can simply arrive, enjoy the process, and leave with your own handmade rug.
