19:00 — Start serving lunch: a serving of chanko nabe sumo-wrestler’s hot-pot is included in a dinner also featuring sukiyaki beef, rice, and ice cream. Standard table seating.
19:20 — Start of the stage show in which former wrestlers demo essential techniques and explain the history, culture, and practices of sumo. Includes full exhibition matches between experienced sumo pros!
19:50 — Challenge the wrestlers! Audience members will be selected to put on a sumo suit and challenge the former stars in a duel.
20:20 — Photo time with sumo wrestlers.
21:00 — The event ends after finishing lunch. You will also receive a copy of the current sumo rankings list.

This year, we've scheduled an extra afternoon show at 17:00 to meet growing demand! Our lunch and dinner shows often sell out, so book the shorter afternoon show without meal to fill that gap.

Sumo in Tokyo attracts many international visitors, seeking the thrill of watching the wrestlers do battle in their sacred ring. However, tournaments are held just six times a year and in different cities. You might watch their morning practice instead, but this is not year-round either, and may not include any bouts.

So, why not visit Yokozuna Tonkatsu Dosukoi Tanaka, the show restaurant operated by a retired sumo wrestler!

Here, you’ll enjoy an unforgettable interactive show — entirely in English — with former professionals, while eating the famous chanko nabe stew, the source of their power!
