What you can expect

This day trip from Tokyo takes you beyond the modern city and into the gentle rhythms of Japan’s springtime culture, blending cherry blossoms, historic streets, local shrines, and seasonal scenery, with a convenient hotel pick-up service. We provide pick-up for hotels within Tokyo's central 4 wards (Shinjuku, Chiyoda, Chuo, and Taito). For guests staying outside these areas, the meeting point will be at a designated location provided by our staff.
As this is a shared tour, the exact pick-up time will be confirmed by our staff in advance based on the day's conditions.
Please ensure you are ready at the designated location to keep the trip on schedule.\

The journey begins with a visit to Hikawa Shrine in Kawagoe, one of the region’s most beloved Shinto shrines. As you approach the grounds, rows of cherry trees frame the pathways, creating a soft pink canopy during the blooming season. Visitors can take time to stroll through the shrine grounds, admire the seasonal decorations, and participate in traditional Japanese prayers. The shrine is especially known for wishes related to harmony and good fortune, making it a meaningful first stop to welcome the day.

Next, continue into Kawagoe’s Edo-style old town, often referred to as “Little Edo.” Walking along the preserved streets, you’ll see traditional warehouses, wooden storefronts, and narrow lanes that reflect the atmosphere of Japan’s past. Guests have free time to explore at their own pace—sampling local snacks, browsing small craft shops, or simply enjoying the nostalgic scenery. The blend of historic architecture and spring blossoms creates a relaxed and photogenic setting.

The tour then moves to Gongendo Tsutsumi, one of the most impressive cherry blossom spots in the Kanto region. Stretching along the riverbank, hundreds of cherry trees bloom simultaneously, forming a long tunnel of pink petals. In contrast, bright yellow rapeseed flowers grow nearby, adding vivid color to the landscape. Guests can walk freely along the embankment, take photos, or simply pause to enjoy the open views and gentle spring breeze. This stop offers a classic yet spacious hanami experience, ideal for those who prefer a calmer environment away from crowded city parks.

Later in the afternoon, the journey includes a visit to Kasukabe, a location familiar to many as the hometown of the popular anime character Crayon Shin-chan. This stop adds a lighthearted cultural touch to the itinerary. Guests can explore the area, take photos, and enjoy the playful contrast between traditional scenery and modern pop culture references.

As the day comes to a close, the group returns to Tokyo. After a full day of seasonal beauty, cultural discovery, and relaxed exploration, guests can sit back and reflect on the diverse colors of spring experienced just beyond the city.

Please note that the itinerary schedule may vary depending on weather, traffic conditions, and seasonal bloom status.
