Our four hour private tour with Chris was excellent. In the time we covered more than we could have done over several days on our own. While it was a walking tour, Chris was able to take us on 2 local train rides to maximise our time. We saw Godzilla, the alleys of Shibuya and the scramble crossing, the Meiji Temple, the pet cafe street, lunch at an okinayamaki restaurant (not included but not expensive and authentic). Chris was knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating. He communicated with us before the tour so we were confident it would happen.

We spent our last day in Tokyo with Lilian and it was well spent. She came to our hotel to meet us and had listened to what we wanted to see. It was great that she could share so much about Tokyo’s culture. We had a couple side excursions because I expressed interest which was great. We let her pick the restaurant for lunch and it was a great meal. I would definitely recommend her and this your again.

What a wonderful experience! Our tour guide, Sumire, was absolutely amazing. She was so knowledgeable, kind, and accommodating to my family’s need. She tailored the tour to my interests and gave us great information and history about Tokyo. She recommended several other places to explore and gave us helpful tips navigating the train and subway station. I recommend this tour to first timers in Japan. This is family friendly, although a bit hard on younger kids. Thanks again Sumire!

Taka and Ayaka were both such a pleasure to have as our guides for the day! They were prompt to arrive at our hotel and were friendly and welcoming to our group of 5. Taka assisted with helping us get our Suica cards on our phones for the trains. I provided a list of top places we’d like to see and he made sure we visited all of them. Even though we were early for cherry blossom season, he showed us some beautiful areas with Sakura. Stopped for snacks when we were hungry and was so accommodating. I would highly recommend Japan Discovery squad, 10/10!

Where to begin… We are a family of four- 2 adults, a teen, and a child and this was our first visit in Japan. We had an absolutely amazing time with our tour guide Shino! She went above and beyond to make our experience fantastic. This tour was the best thing we did in Tokyo. Shino was patient and accommodated our in decisive and last minute itinerary; she was personable with the whole family and engaged with our daughters; and answered questions in a thoughtful response. It felt like she was a long-time friend of the family giving us a tour of Tokyo as opposed to someone we just met. My kids adored her and talked about how “nice and fun” she was. I highly recommend booking this tour if you’re going to Tokyo and want an in-depth experience of the popular and non-popular sights in Tokyo. Both first time visitors and multi-visitors to Tokyo will enjoy this experience. I have already recommended friends and family. Ask for Shino!

What a wonderful first day in Tokyo. My husband and I had just arrived from Germany and wanted to take a tour the first day to orient ourselves. We are so glad we did that - Sumire was such a wonderful host, so patient with us, explaining everything about Japanese culture, telling us so many interesting stories. We had so much fun spending our first day with her, learning so much about this wonderful country. We highly recommend this tour to anyone!
