Line A: Up by Bus, Down by Cable Car (Most Popular)
This classic route offers the complete Tianmen Mountain experience. The journey begins by boarding the cable car from the downtown station for a panoramic ascent. Please Note: Due to ongoing cable car upgrades, the full-length cable car ride to the summit is temporarily unavailable. For Line A, you will take the cable car to the Mid Station, then transfer to the scenic shuttle bus. Enjoy a thrilling drive along the famous 99-Bend Mountain Road to reach Tianmen Cave Square. After visiting the iconic cave, take the 7-stage Cliffside Escalator up to the summit. Explore the stunning West and East Loops, featuring the breathtaking Glass Skywalk and Ghost Valley Plank Path. Your descent is via the fast cable car from near the cave.
Line B: Up by Fast Cable Car, Down by Cable Car & Bus
Ideal for those who prefer a different pace. Start by taking a free shuttle from the downtown station to the mountain gate, then ride the fast cable car up to Tianmen Cave. Walk up or take an escalator (extra fee applies) alongside the 999 Steps to the cave square. Then, ascend via the Cliffside Escalator to the mountain top for sightseeing. On the return, you have two choices: take the fast cable car back the way you came, or opt for the scenic shuttle bus down the 99-Bend Road to the cable car Mid Station, followed by a final cable car ride back to the city.
Line C: Fast Cable Car Round Trip
A straightforward and efficient option. Take the shuttle bus and fast cable car directly to Tianmen Cave. After exploring the cave area and summit, return via the same fast cable car route. This line is a good alternative if you have limited time or prefer to avoid the main cable car, though it does not include the classic Tianmen Mountain cable car experience.
