    We'll walk through the historic City Centre and the Backs, seeing gorgeous landmarks in quaint old streets, picturesque alleys and dreamy, park-like settings.

    You'll hear

    • how Cambridge University began as a bunch of religious schools more than 800 years ago, because of a bloody riot in Oxford

    • how it has taught and hosted countless famous people who changed the world

    • how a religious scholar scribbling atop a tower here ended up shaking the whole of Europe by accident

    • The dismal reason why our two greatest colleges are bitter rivals

    YOU'LL SEE:

    • the FRONT QUAD of a historic college (if open on the day)

    • the RAF bar and the most famous bridge in China (really!)

    • a small 19th century lab that once was the greatest centre of science in the world

    • stunning LANDMARKS

    • charming BRIDGES with romantic and entertaining histories
