Get ready to get your hands dirty but delicious in this funny cooking class in the heart of the Jewish Ghetto: take a break from the city tours and enjoy a unique experience during your stay in Rome

Meet your host and chef and get the most of all the tricks to prepare the perfect menu for a Jewish Roman dinner from scratch: meet up in Piazza Mattei, a lovely square in the heart of Rome’s Jewish Ghetto; observe the stratification of the Eternal City over the centuries and window-shop as you reach the restaurant for the class, breathing in the relaxed- yet glamorous - atmosphere for which the Ghetto is so famous all over the world!

Your chef will be waiting for you, ready to share the best recipes with you and reveal all the tricks to prepare a marvelous dinner!

This is an active cooking class, but you may also decide to simply sit back, relax and watch the chef at work, while you sip a glass of wine.

In the active class, you will learn how to make homemade pasta, to clean, prepare and fry seasonal vegetables and also taste the most delicious Roman desserts.

No matter the season you will choose for your class here, you will always work with fresh and local ingredients.

In a winter class, you would peel artichokes and cook them to reproduce one of the best dishes of the Roman cuisine, Carciofi alla Giudia.

In a summer class, instead, you would prepare and fry zucchini flowers, or other delicious fresh vegetables, to make the original Fritto Romano.

For dessert, taste an amazing slice of Torta di Ricotta e Visciole, among the most celebrated and famous cheesecakes, made with simple but heavenly ingredients (i.e. Visciole are sour cherries!).

Looking for an authentic and entertaining firsthand activity in the very core of the Jewish Ghetto in Rome. This is the experience for you! Not a formal class though; rather a funny and tasty afternoon with your local chef, preparing your own Jewish Roman dinner!

Important note: the restaurant and the cooking class recipes are not Kosher
