Activity itinerary

Cruise Ship Dock - Port of Tauranga, New Zealand

  • 5m
Meet at our parking bay outside the cruise ship passenger exit where your friendly local driver-guide will start this memorable experience.

Pilot Bay (Pass by)

Depart along Pilot Bay; beautiful sheltered waterfront, known for its calm waters, stunning harbour views and relaxed seaside atmosphere. It's the perfect spot for a leisurely stroll, swimming, or simply soaking up the scenery beneath Mauao.

Mt Maunganui Main Beach (Pass by)

Feel the energy of Mount Maunganui's iconic Main Beach as we cruise along this stunning stretch of coastline. With golden sands, crashing surf, and breathtaking ocean views at every turn, it's easy to see why this is one of New Zealand's most loved beaches.

Tauranga (Pass by)

Cross the Tauranga Harbour Bridge and enjoy panoramic waterfront views (your ship in the distance) as we pass the stunning marina and cruise into the heart of Tauranga City.

The Elms | Te Papa Tauranga

  • 5m
  • Admission ticket not included
Step back in time at The Elms Mission House, one of New Zealand's most important heritage sites. A place of early contact between Māori and Pākehā, this beautifully preserved property features historic buildings, nationally significant collections, and peaceful gardens that tell the story of Tauranga's rich cultural heritage.

The Old Tauranga Post Office (Pass by)

Standing proudly in the heart of Tauranga, the historic Old Post Office is one of the city's most recognisable landmarks. Once the centre of communication and commerce, it has been beautifully transformed into The Clarence, a stylish dining and hospitality destination that blends Tauranga's rich heritage with modern city life.

Harbour Drive

  • 5m
Cruise along prestigious Harbour Drive, one of Tauranga's most sought-after waterfront addresses. Enjoy stunning harbour views stretching across to Matakana Island and Mount Maunganui while discovering why this beautiful location is considered some of the city's most prized real estate.

Bay Oval Cricket Ground (Pass by)

Bay Oval is one of New Zealand's premier sporting venues, hosting international cricket and major events. Keep your eyes peeled—Blake Park is also a regular training base for the All Blacks, so you might just spot a rugby legend in action!

Zespri International (Pass by)

As we pass the global headquarters of Zespri, you'll see the company behind New Zealand's world-famous kiwifruit industry. From Tauranga, Zespri exports premium kiwifruit to more than 50 countries, making it one of the nation's biggest horticultural success stories.

Giant Pohutukawa Tree

  • 5m
Standing proudly for around 600 years, this magnificent Pōhutukawa is believed to be the last remaining pre-European tree on the Mount Maunganui sandbar. Deeply significant to local Ngāi Te Rangi iwi, it is steeped in history and Māori tradition, serving as a living connection to the area's rich cultural heritage and past generations.

The Mount Mainstreet (Pass by)

We cruise around vibrant Mount Mainstreet, a palm-lined hub of boutique shopping, stylish cafés, award-winning restaurants, local galleries, and unique New Zealand gifts. It's the heart of Mount Maunganui's relaxed beachside lifestyle. If you'd like to spend more time exploring, we're happy to drop you here and you can enjoy an easy walk back to the ship at your leisure.

Cruise Ship Dock - Port of Tauranga, New Zealand

  • 5m
Your V8 Trike Tour wraps up back at the cruise ship terminal, where we drop you off after an awesome ride around Tauranga and Mount Maunganui. Hopefully it’s been a memorable and unforgettable experience you’ll be sharing with others for a long time to come.
