Depart from a helipad and spend almost an hour circumnavigating and learning the history of Lake Taupo and the surrounding area.

First, discover the township of Kinloch with its picturesque location right on the shores of the great lake, and international golf course. Next, see the secluded Western Bays that is largely undiscovered by the majority of people that visit Lake Taupo.

After, admire the rugged Karangahape cliffs and native bush surrounding it. Halfway through the flight, get an amazing view of the volcanic plateau of the North Island, including Mt Ruapehu, Mt Ngauruhoe, and Mt Tongariro in all their alpine beauty.

Once passing Turangi, see the Tongariro River and iconic White Cliffs, before venturing back to base via the Maori Rock Carvings.
