Three cities in one walk. Most people only find one.
Tashkent has been rebuilt, renamed, and reinvented more times than almost any city in Central Asia. This walk is the fastest way to understand all of it — without reading a history book.
We begin at Amir Timur Square, where the city puts its best face forward: fountains, monuments, and a skyline that surprises first-time visitors. From here, we walk to Independence Square — a place that means something different to every Uzbek person, and you'll understand why when you stand in front of the Eternal Flame.
Then we go underground.
Tashkent's metro is not just transport — it's a museum. The stations were built in the 1970s with marble, mosaics, and chandeliers that would embarrass most European cathedrals. Most tourists never see it. We will.
Back above ground, the city shifts entirely. Chorsu Bazaar has been feeding Tashkent for centuries — the smell of spices hits you before you see it. We'll walk through it together, and I'll show you what to try, what to photograph, and what to ignore.
We finish at Khast Imam, the spiritual heart of the city. This is where you'll find one of the oldest Quran manuscripts in the world — written before your country existed, before most countries existed.
By the end, you won't just have seen Tashkent. You'll have a theory about it.
