Your adventure begins at our rafting center, where you’ll meet your professional IRF-certified guides, receive all the necessary rafting equipment, and take part in a short safety briefing before heading to the river.

Once everyone is ready, we organize the boat crews and set off on a scenic drive of approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes to Brštanovica — the starting point of the most exciting rafting section of the Tara River.

Then the real adventure begins.

Raft 20 km from Brštanovica to Bastasi through the wildest and most exciting part of the Tara Canyon, where more than 30 rapids are concentrated along the route. This is an active rafting experience: paddle with your crew, tackle powerful whitewater, surf the waves, and experience the Tara the way it was meant to be experienced.

The character of the river changes throughout the season. In spring, higher water levels make the descent faster and more powerful, while summer brings a longer and more relaxed ride with more opportunities to swim, explore, and enjoy the canyon. Depending on conditions, the rafting itself lasts approximately 1.5 to 4 hours.

Between the rapids, discover the quieter side of the Tara. Stop at waterfalls and beautiful spots hidden inside the canyon, swim in crystal-clear turquoise water, relax on the riverbank, and enjoy the dramatic cliffs rising above you.

During the trip, take a break by the river and recharge with a snack consisting of a sandwich, fruit, a sweet treat, and a refreshing drink before continuing downstream.

Throughout the adventure, a dedicated photo kayaker captures professional action photos at some of the best rapids and locations along the route, while GoPro footage brings you even closer to the action. This means you can concentrate on paddling and enjoying the river instead of worrying about your phone or camera.

Safety is an essential part of the experience. In addition to your professional rafting guide, a safety kayaker accompanies the trip, providing an additional level of support on the river.

Near the end of the journey, watch the Tara meet the Piva River to form the Drina before continuing downstream to our rafting center in Bastasi.

And the experience doesn’t have to end when you leave the raft. Back at our rafting center, return your equipment and unwind by the swimming pool, which is included in your experience. If you’re hungry after the adventure, you can also order an optional lunch at our restaurant and enjoy a proper meal while relaxing at the center.
