After approximately 1.5 to 2 hours on the road, arrive at the base of Mt Yasur. From here, walk up a short but scenic trail (about 10–15 minutes) to reach the volcano’s crater rim. As you climb higher, the air becomes cooler, and the distant sounds of the volcano—rumbling, cracking, and occasionally roaring—grow louder.

Once at the top, stand just 150–200 meters from the crater. Feel the ground tremble beneath your feet and witness eruptions that hurl glowing lava, ash, and volcanic gases into the sky.
