    • Località Ripalte, 57031 Capoliveri LI, Italia | Once you arrive in Portoferraio and get off the ferry, you'll need to follow the signs for Capoliveri. Once you reach the top of the village, at the roundabout in front of the Comando dei Vigili Urbani, you won't have to follow the Innamorata, but continue towards Miniera Calamita / Tenuta delle Ripalte / Ripe Alte (as indicated). Don't worry if the road becomes a dirt track: this is the start of one of the most scenic roads in Italy, which will take you, in about 6km, to the Tenuta delle Ripalte, where you'll find asphalt again. The Bike Center Elba, the meeting point, is about 200m ahead on the right. Tip: don't use the GPS, as it could lead you astray because there are dirt roads.

What you can expect

Combine a personalized MTB course at your level (or your group's level if you're participating as a group), and then hit the iconic Poggio Polveraio descent: cross the old Vallone mines and reach the sea.

These are all the topics that will be covered and adapted to your experience level:

  • Basic position (limbs, gaze, center of gravity);
  • Centrality;
  • Basic bike setup (levers, tire pressure, etc.);
  • Behaviors and attitudes during a descent;
  • Cornering technique;
  • Handling slope changes.
  • Steep slopes and changes in gradient;
  • Being soft and fluid;
  • Bunny hop.
