Depart from the heart of Ortigia aboard our rickshaw and enjoy 3 hours of pure wonder through the history, art and spirituality of Syracuse. Shortly afterward, one of the most moving experiences of the tour awaits you: the Basilica of Santa Lucia al Sepolcro, home to Caravaggio's famous painting “The Burial of Saint Lucia,” a breathtaking masterpiece from 1608. The route continues with the Church of St. John the Evangelist and its early Christian catacombs, one of the largest underground necropolises in Europe. Before reaching the Archaeological Park of Neapolis, we'll make a stop at the majestic Sanctuary of Our Lady of Tears, the large teardrop that dominates the city's skyline.
