What you can expect

  • Your kayak launches from Blues Point, right beside the Sydney Harbour Bridge, so the Bridge is beside you as the sun comes up over the harbour. This is the sunrise paddle that Channel 7's Sunrise and Channel 9's Today have featured, and it finishes with a Kayaking Sydney tradition: the group photo at the Henry Lawson bus stop.

Your guide starts with a safety briefing and fits you with a personal flotation device (PFD). Then you're on the water for the early-morning stillness of the harbour. Guides check the UV and weather conditions before every trip and carry spare sunscreen and water, so you can settle in and enjoy the paddle.

Your guides speak English, Portuguese and Mandarin, and every guide holds a Working With Children Check. Photos and videos are taken for every guest free of charge, so you can keep your hands on the paddle.

The tour runs for 1.5 to 2 hours. It suits anyone aged 12 and over. Guests aged 12 to 17 must be accompanied on the water by a parent or guardian aged 18 or over.

    Your safety on the water
