A Sydney-exclusive for summer 2025–26, Ron Mueck: Encounter is the largest exhibition by the artist ever to be presented in Australia, and comprises sculptures drawn from across the globe, most never before seen in this country. Early-access tickets - Enjoy exclusive early morning access to the Ron Mueck exhibition before the gallery opens to the public. Your ticket includes 9.30am entry with an optional guided tour of the exhibition at 9.45am. There are limited early-access tickets for a crowd-free experience
The exhibition will be in the new Naala Badu, north building. Enter the building, and make your way to the entrance of the exhibition on Lower level 2.
Tickets are dated but not timed, and valid for single entry at any time during opening hours on your chosen date. Although a timed exhibition customers will be available to enter at any time on the day of the booking
Option 2: Dangerously Modern: 11 Oct 25 – 15 Feb 26

The Sydney International Art Series 2025–26 presents two incredible exhibitions, exclusive to Sydney: Ron Mueck: Encounter at the Art Gallery of New South Wales and Data Dreams: Art and AI at the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia. When you buy your Art Pass your booking reference can be used for both exhibitions, allowing single entry to each exhibition on any day from 6 Dec 25 – 12 April 26.
All public areas inside both buildings can be accessed by ramps and lifts, as well as stairs and elevators. The Entrance Pavilion in Naala Badu has a gentle gradient.
