On the edge of the salt flats are some of the world's only salt hotels: Palacio de Sal, Luna Salada, Cristal Samana, and others. This is where the real adventure begins as we enter the Salar de Uyuni. Here, we'll visit the "Salt Eyes" (underground pumps of saltwater that emerge under high pressure, forming salt crystals), the Plaza de las Banderas (Plaza of the Flags), and the monument to the Dakar Rally, which crossed the salt flats in 2015. We'll visit the former Playa Blanca hotel, built entirely of salt, where you'll have time to take photos and admire the rooms, the kiosk, and the dining areas. We'll then venture deeper into the salt desert to enjoy lunch in the middle of the Salar. Afterward, we'll leave the crowds of other tour groups behind with our driver-guide for a photo session and some fun videos with our expert professional driver-guide

Continuing, we'll visit Incahuasi Island (House of the Inca), also known as the Island of Giant Cacti, located in the center of the salt flats, 130 km from Uyuni. It's the main destination for most salt desert tours. It's an extraordinary and otherworldly place, a mountainous landscape covered in salt. A sea of giant cacti surrounded by a white sea of salt, populated by vizcachas (Andean rodents) that inhabit its rocky slopes, is an oasis with a unique ecosystem. The island is full of giant cacti that can measure from 5 centimeters to 10 meters in height. This island features an immense coral reef where you can appreciate beautiful scenery. It has the best views of the Salar de Uyuni; From the summit, you can appreciate the 360-degree panorama of the salt flats, including the Tunupa volcano. The tour on this island lasts about an hour. You must walk with great care and wear hiking boots and jeans for your safety.

For the Bolivian government, it's a breeding center for the world's largest pink flamingo population. We'll have ample time to visit the lagoon's main viewpoint and photograph the scenery. The route, with its astonishing erosion and surreal landscapes, traverses spectacular scenery with multicolored volcanic rock formations and reaches an altitude of 5,000 meters. Along the way, and the shoreline is lined with brilliant white deposits of sodium, magnesium, borax, and gypsum.

Laguna Verde. -
After visiting the Salvador Dalí Desert, we arrived at the edge of Laguna Verde, the last stop on the tour before reaching Hito Cajones, the border with Chile. This beautiful green lagoon is an excellent opportunity to take photos with the Licancabur volcano in the background. Flamingos are not seen due to the high arsenic content in its waters. The green color of this lagoon is due to the high concentrations of lead, sulfur, and calcium carbonate, originating from the Licancabur volcano (5,960 meters). Laguna Verde is located next to Laguna Blanca, where some flamingos can be found. The Licancabur volcano borders Bolivia to the south and Chile to the west; it is a truly surreal sight.
