We will do a short stop in the square Piazza Santa Lucia at the Church of Santa Lucia where inside is situated the original painting of "The burial of Santa Lucia" made by Caravaggio. Outside on a building we can also see a big wall painting of the same piece of art.

Riva Porto Lachio

The newly restyled harbour area of Lo Sbarcadero is a beautiful place, now mostly pedestrain, from where you have a great view of Ortigia, the old town of Siracusa.

We enjoy the golden hour from this stunning bike path, on a former railway line, that goes 7 km along the coast of Siracusa. Several points of interest along the route, in addition to a great view of Etna and Calabria on a clear day.

After the bike path and before returning to the meeting point we stop at a local bar for a refreshing aperitivo. The choice of bar and location may vary.
