What you can expect

Our Lost in Time series from MMHistory includes two adventures and takes you on a playful journey through the history of Stuttgart – you decide which challenge suits you.

Experience the perfect introduction to our escape game series with “The Wilhelm Case.” This game is ideal for beginners, families, and anyone who enjoys solving puzzles and exploring together.
“The Case of Max von Bulsenberg” is our most demanding outdoor escape game and is aimed at experienced puzzle lovers who are looking for a more in-depth challenge.

Your experience starts at Schlossplatz, where you will be personally welcomed by historian Michael Mezger. After a short introduction, you will receive your puzzle book with all the clues. With this, you will venture out into the streets, alleys, and squares of the city to solve exciting tasks. Each stop takes you to historical places, connects the present and the past, and lets you rediscover Stuttgart with fresh eyes.

While you are on your way, history comes to life – through surprising stories and facts about Württemberg and Stuttgart that are often overlooked. You will solve a variety of puzzles: logic problems, codes to crack, and creative tasks, some hidden in the puzzle book and some directly on buildings and in squares. There is no time pressure, just real exploration at your own pace – outside in the fresh air.

The games are suitable for teenagers and adults who enjoy solving puzzles together. They are particularly popular with families, groups of friends, companies or school classes. You can play alone, in pairs, or in larger groups of up to 30 people. For large groups, we divide you into teams so that you can experience the same adventure in parallel and everyone can fully immerse themselves in the puzzle fun.

The route leads through the inner city of Stuttgart – to well-known landmarks as well as to little insider tips that surprise even the locals. The paths are mostly wheelchair and stroller accessible; individual steps can be bypassed. Please bring comfortable shoes, seasonal weather-appropriate clothing, and a charged smartphone with an internet connection. You will receive the puzzle book and all materials on site.

At the end, you'll return to Schlossplatz, where you'll meet Michael again. Together, you will discuss the solved riddles, share your impressions, and can ask questions about Stuttgart's history. This personal conclusion rounds off the experience and will be remembered for a long time.
