Kick off your sushi evening at Studio32 Berlin with a brief introduction and then dive straight into hands-on practice. First, you will learn the basics: how to properly wash, cook, season, and perfectly prepare sushi rice. You will practice how to spread the rice evenly on the nori sheet and how to create neat, well-shaped maki, which form the basis for all further creations.
Building on this foundation, you will create more sophisticated sushi variations. You will work with plant-based ingredients and learn how to create different textures, for example using tempura, panko, or specific preparation techniques. Together, you will create creative highlights such as “tuna-style” nigiri with grilled Romano peppers, crispy avocado rolls, or seasonal interpretations.
In addition to rolling, the focus is on precise cutting techniques, applying the right pressure, and aesthetic presentation. Throughout the course, you will receive tips from experienced chefs and have the opportunity to ask questions and experiment on your own.
At the end of the workshop, you will plate your sushi creations and enjoy them with the group in a relaxed atmosphere, accompanied by drinks and inspiring conversation.
