What you can expect

  • Trade the city streets for the peaceful wilderness of Bogesund Nature Reserve, just outside Stockholm. Your experience begins with pick-up in Stockholm, followed by a scenic journey into the Swedish countryside. Discover a hidden side of Sweden as you explore enchanting forests filled with towering pine trees, moss-covered ground, winding trails, and beautiful coastal scenery.

Your adventure begins as you arrive in Bogesund and meet the wilderness surrounding you. Follow scenic trails with a fascinating history, including paths believed to have been used since Viking times. Along the way, your guide shares stories about Swedish nature, local history, and the traditions of outdoor life, while introducing you to simple wilderness skills.

After exploring the forest, gather around an open fire for a traditional outdoor lunch. Learn how to prepare and cook Swedish meatballs over the flames, enjoying a hands-on cooking experience surrounded by nature. While the food is cooking, slow down and embrace the Swedish tradition of fika, with freshly brewed coffee or tea.

    Visiting between mid-May and September?

You’ll take it a step further by baking your own cinnamon rolls over the fire. The smell of warm cinnamon and cardamom in the forest is unforgettable — and so is eating them fresh, right in nature.

    Visiting between October and mid-May?

After lunch, you’ll gear up for a truly unique Nordic experience: cold-water floating. Wearing a thermal survival suit, you’ll float effortlessly in the calm Baltic Sea, warm, safe, and surprisingly relaxing. Floating here feels more like flying than swimming, and the sensation is almost impossible to describe until you’ve tried it yourself. Ever wondered what it feels like to drift weightlessly without ever getting cold? That’s the memory you’ll carry home, along with rosy cheeks, a clear mind, and the satisfied glow of having done something truly different in Stockholm.

This small-group experience blends nature, food, and adventure into one memorable day; no matter the season.
