Overview
A stunning 9km / 5.5 mile forest walk following the winding Water of Nevis to the dramatic Steall Falls. The route meanders through the rocky Nevis Gorge and opens to the panoramic landscape of Glen Nevis.
Steall Falls is third highest waterfall in Scotland and cascades 105 meters down the rock face. In Gaelic it's called An Steall Bàn meaning “The White Spout”. This iconic area is featured in two Harry Potter films.
At the end of the walk, there's a wire rope bridge over the river for the adventurous!
You'll walk with Trev, your friendly local guide. The path is a little rocky and muddy in places, so he's on hand to help if needed. Plus, he's always happy to take photos.
This is a family friendly walk for 13+ year olds that are comfortable with the distance and terrain.
Please note that if it's not rained for a while, the waterfall won't be flowing fast.
