Itinerary
After picking you up at the Renaissance Shanghai Yu Garden Hotel, we'll head west to Zhujiajiao, a historic gem located 50 kilometers from Shanghai. Did you know that this is the best-preserved water town in the Shanghai area? You'll soon understand why it's known as the Venice of Shanghai!
Once in Zhujiajiao, we'll stroll through its traditional streets and admire the centuries-old houses that stand along the banks of the canals. We'll stroll across its picturesque stone bridges, some with more than 5,000 years of history, while we reveal the city's anecdotes and legends.
Afterwards, we'll take a 20-minute cruise tour of the canals to enjoy the beauty of Zhujiajiao from the water. Afterwards, you'll have free time to continue exploring the village at your own pace. If you like, you can visit one of its gardens on your own or get lost in its alleys lined with handicrafts shops.
At the agreed time, we will meet again at a restaurant to enjoy a delicious lunch of traditional dishes and a soft drink.
With renewed energy, we'll return to Shanghai and continue the sightseeing tour in Tianzifang, a neighborhood with an artistic soul located in the former French Concession. Its labyrinthine streets are home to art galleries, design studios, and elegant boutiques. Here you can take the opportunity to do some shopping.
At the end of the visit, you will have the option to stay in Tianzifang or return by coach to the Shanghai Replica Market, where the excursion will conclude after a total of seven to eight hours.
