Itinerary
After picking you up at the Renaissance Shanghai Yu Garden Hotel, we'll head west to Zhujiajiao, a historical gem located 50 kilometers from Shanghai. Did you know that this is the best-preserved water town in the Shanghai area? You'll soon understand why it's known as the Venice of Shanghai!
Once in Zhujiajiao, we'll stroll through its traditional streets and admire the centuries-old houses that line the banks of the canals. We'll stroll across its picturesque stone bridges, some with over 5,000 years of history, while we share the town's anecdotes and legends with you.
Afterwards, we'll take a 20-minute boat ride along the canals to admire the beauty of Zhujiajiao from the water. Then, you'll have free time to continue exploring the village at your own pace. If you wish, you can visit some of its gardens on your own or wander through its alleys lined with handicrafts shops.
At the agreed time, we'll meet again at a restaurant to enjoy a delicious lunch of traditional dishes and a soft drink.
Refreshed and recharged, we'll head back to Shanghai and continue the sightseeing tour in Tianzifang, an artistic neighborhood located in the former French Concession. Its winding streets host art galleries, design studios, and stylish boutiques. Here you can take the opportunity to do some shopping.
At the end of the visit, you'll have the option to stay in Tianzifang or return by bus to Shanghai's knock-off market, where the excursion will come to an end after a total of seven to eight hours.
