After you have been collected from your hotel you will make your way to Soweto. Along the way you will drive past the Diepkloof ext, Baragwanath Taxi Rank and Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital, to name a few. You will visit an informal settlement, drive past Maponya Shopping Mall, walk through Freedom Square and Freedom Charter Memorial. Walk through the Regina Mundi Church and drive along Vilakazi Street. Optional: African Buffet Lunch at Sakhumzi Restaurant (own expense) You will also have the opportunity to visit Mandela House Museum, entrance Fees to the Museum included. Visit the Hector Pieterson Museum, outside the Prescient. See the homes of Nobel peace prize winner Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu. Towards the end of the tour you will visit a local shebeen and taste a type of beer drunk by the people of Soweto if your older than 18 years (time permitting and beer own account). On the drive back to your hotel you will go past the Soccer City Stadium.
