Check-in and Preparation: Arrive at Sólheimajökull Base Camp (National Park Visitor’s Centre) at least 20 minutes before departure. A certified glacier guide will provide a safety briefing and fit you with gear, including crampons, helmet, harness, and ice axe. Glacier Hike and Ice Climbing: Take a glacier bus to the ice, then hike across a surreal landscape of crevasses, ridges, and ice sculptures.
