Begin your tour at 10:00 AM, meeting your English-speaking driver at your hotel. First, head to Vitosha mountain which is the first park in Bulgaria and on the Balkan Peninsula. Here, there are many paths from which you can choose to hike and each hike can be adjusted to your preferences (some paths are relatively easily accessible) and usually take between 1 and 2 hours. The main path goes to the natural phenomena “stone river”.

From this area, you will also have the chance to see the beautiful panoramic views of Sofia - the Kopitoto viewpoint. During the winter season, it is also possible to go up in the mountain if you want to enjoy the snow, however walking will be much more limited because of the winter conditions.

In the afternoon, head for the Pancharevo Lake which is about 30 - 40-minute drive away from the center of Sofia. Around the lake, you'll be able to walk and enjoy the beautiful nature, away from the noise of the big city. There are also hiking trails, several park areas with coffee shops, as well as restaurants available there.

The return to your hotel is between 3:00 P.M. and 4:00 P.M.
