Activity itinerary

This experience involves snow shoveling alongside the Moribito to help protect the shrine. The guide will be waiting for you at the "Takaoka Ninaite Center" in front of Takateru Shrine at 10:00 AM. You can come by car, but I recommend taking the local bus from Hirosaki Station to experience local life. After check-in, you will change into the snow shoveling boots we provide and head to Takateru Shrine. You will join local residents known as "Moribito," who have been maintaining the shrine for over 300 years, to experience its history through worship and a visit. Next, you will participate in snow shoveling with the Moribito, a tradition that Tsugaru residents practice every morning. After the experience, you will return to the "Takaoka Ninaite Center," where a special Moribito bento and the local specialty "keno-shiru," prepared specifically by the "Yamanoko" café for this experience, will be served. This center is regularly used by the Moribito for their maintenance activities. At the end of the experience, please receive a small gift as a token of appreciation.
