What you can expect

  • Discover some of the natural scenery, wildlife, and flavors of Costa Rica on this full-day experience from Guanacaste.

Begin your day at Llanos de Cortés Waterfall, where you will have time to enjoy the waterfall, explore the surrounding area and take photos. Swimming is allowed if weather permits.

Continue to the Bijagua region, where you will follow your guide along forest trails at a sloth facility. Keep an eye out for sloths resting in the trees, as well as tropical birds and other local wildlife. Wildlife sightings are not guaranteed, as animals move freely within their environment.

After the wildlife walk, enjoy a traditional Costa Rican lunch before continuing to a chocolate experience.

Learn about the history and production of cacao in Costa Rica, including the process of transforming cacao beans into chocolate. The experience includes demonstrations and chocolate tastings.

Cacao has been part of Costa Rica's history and culture for thousands of years, with historical records documenting its importance particularly in the country's Caribbean region.

This full-day experience combines a waterfall visit, wildlife observation, Costa Rican cuisine and a hands-on introduction to cacao and chocolate.
