    • The Washington Monument requires all guests to go through physical security screening to access the monument. The security line normally takes around 15-30 minutes but can be even longer on major holidays.

    • The inside of the monument does not allow smoking, vaporizers, e-cigarettes, food and drink (except water in clear bottles), large bags, or weapons.
    • The Monument is wheelchair accessible
    • Strollers are not permitted inside the Monument. You must leave the stroller in the designated, unattended parking area outside, often near the entrance or along the side of the building.
    • No Animals, except Service Animals, Minors (17 or under) must be accompanied by an adult (18+)
    • The Washington Monument is a self-guided experience
