The enchanted Town of Sintra is located 40 minutes to the NW of Lisbon to which we will drive directly, after the pick-up at the meeting point in Lisbon.
The first stop is at Pena Palace, where you'll have a 1h30 to visit part of the gardens and the terraces (rooms not included). After this visit, we'll stop at the historic center of Sintra where the Royal Palace is located.
You'll have time for lunch and a stroll through the alleys for about 1h30.
The highlight of the day is Quinta da Regaleira: here, we move from a portrait of Portugal's rich history to the complex mysticism of the secret societies and illuminated minds.
We continue our journey to the coast, visiting Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point of the European continent where we will enjoy the views for a moment.
Finally, a passage to Cascais, the Portuguese Riviera, on the way back to Lisbon along the coastal road.
Throughout the day we will have the opportunity to see other monuments such as the Moorish Castle, the palaces of Seteais and Monserrate from the outside.
The day will always be backed up by storytelling and interaction.
Given the traffic and parking restrictions, this day is a balance of guided and self-guided tour (always oriented by me and the only way to see this much in 1 day).
Please note that the route may be reversed to avoid traffic during the high season or if the weather forecasts so require.
