In this experience, shodō is paired with tea to create something entirely original.

You will begin by slowing down with freshly prepared tea, allowing its aroma and warmth to settle your mind. As your breathing becomes calm and focused, you will take the brush in hand. Instead of traditional ink, you will write using tea leaves. Their natural fibers create subtle textures and organic movement, making each work expressive and unique—even for first-time participants.

Guided step by step, you will learn the fundamentals of Japanese calligraphy, including how to hold the brush and the essential techniques of hane (flick), harai (sweep), and tome (stop).
