Walk through one of the most ethnically diverse cities in Colombia, the so-called “Sultana del Valle” or “La Sucursal del Cielo”. Famous for its Salsa rhythms and acrobatic shows, Cali hides an enormous, fighting and brilliant past beyond that enriches our lives nowadays.
Throughout this cultural walk, you'll relive our historical process that led us into civil wars, hard moments of discrimination and bright minds who recite Cali in poems and songs about its pretty mountains, our beautiful women and beloved city.
Also you'll understand the importance of the cultural legacy that our 3 ethnic groups have left in us, learning about the characteristics from our gastronomy, local slang and the songs of the Pacific.
We will start from the Banco de la Republica passing by the Calima Gold Museum, to understand the historical starting point where the city of Santiago de Cali originated and whose socioeconomic development since the 17th century explains the modern dynamics that make visible the current impact of a culture diverse in customs and expressions.
