Torre dell'Elefante (Sambil lalu)

**Elephant Tower** Medieval tower built in 1307 during the Pisan domination. It was part of the city's defensive system and controlled access to the Castello district. It owes its name to a small elephant sculpture carved on the facade.

Bastione di Saint Remy

Large monumental complex built between the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries on the ancient fortifications of Castello.
