Laojundong Taoist Temple

The Laojuncave Taoist temple is located on Laojun Mountain near Huangjueya in Nanshan Subdistrict, Nanan District, Chongqing. Covering an area of 223 acres, it was first built during the Tang Dynasty. After being rebuilt and expanded in the 16th year of the Chenghua period of the Ming Dynasty (1480), it was renamed the Taiji Palace, and later also called Laojun Cave. The Taoist temple is built into the mountainside and boasts a grand and majestic architecture. Originally named Tushan Ancient Cave, it is also known as Taiji Palace and is one of China’s important Taoist temples, earning the title of “The First Taoist Temple in Eastern Sichuan.” Nowadays, tourists are crazy for the jaw falling view and interesting Taoism culture, which reflects Chinese people’s opinions on health, death, tranquility of life styles.

The Old Dragon Cave is located in Banan District, Chongqing. It is a natural limestone cave and an important part of the Karst landscape. The cave stretches for several kilometers (still unexplored in some areas), and visitors can experience a kayaking adventure over a distance of no less than 800 meters. Inside the cave, the stalactites and stone formations, which have been growing for millions of years, are exquisite and lifelike. The Yinhe Spring flows through the cave, and visitors can enjoy the scenic views and thrilling exploration. It is an excellent destination for leisure and sightseeing. The entry fee is about 80CNY per person, might differ due to the group size. Plz active your WeChat or Alipay for the payment. The cash is also acceptable.
Longmenhao Old Street

Longmenhao Old Street is located in the core area of Chongqing’s main urban district, along the middle section of Nanbin Road. Covering over 300 acres (approximately 180,000 square meters), the area has a long history spanning over a thousand years, with numerous historical remains. The historical and cultural district consists of more than 200 buildings from different periods, including 18 exceptional historical heritage buildings. The old street is also the site of one of the “Twelve Sceneries of Ancient Bayu”—the “Longmenhao Moon,” a spot admired and praised by countless scholars and poets. Due to its stunning nightscape and its excellent location across the river from the Yuzhong Peninsula, Longmenhao Old Street was included in the list of the second batch of proposed night-time cultural and tourism consumption zones for Chongqing in April 2022.
