From the bay you can see the ancient Lierna Castle, a medieval fortified complex overlooking the lake. Today some historical structures and parts of the walls are recognizable, testimony of the ancient defenses of the village.

Visible returning to Varenna on the way back, born as an ancient monastery and transformed over the centuries into a noble residence, it is famous for its long botanical garden that extends along the shore, offering one of the most refined and suggestive views of Lake Como.

Castello di Vezio (Sambil lalu)

In the distance, above Varenna, you can see the Castle of Vezio, an ancient medieval fortification overlooking the lake from the top of the promontory. Its panoramic position offers a strategic view of the two branches of Lake Como and represents one of the most recognizable historical testimonies of the territory.
